A stunning rooftop bar in the heart of Auckland City
A glamorous 1920s inspired space
The team at Izzard Design recently worked their design magic on the interior of The Churchill, the highest rooftop bar in New Zealand. Patrons of the glamorous 1920s-inspired space can enjoy panoramic views of Auckland and over 160 different types of gin, sourced from around the world.
Izzard chooses to use Aalto paint for the depth of our multi-pigmented colour. The palette is inspired by the earthy tones in the natural stone selected for the bar, with hues of plum, rust and deep grey veins. The rich, dark tones are a little unexpected, and create a luxurious and moody atmosphere.
Three neutrals, Starch, Husky and Tantrum have been paired with warm plum tones Inscription and Bernini, creating an opulent colour palette. The Izzard team chose to apply the paint in bands of colour to tie in with the curving sculptural design.
